1.I want to apply China Scholarship Council (CSC) Scholarship. How to apply? Where should I send my application documents?

Applicants should propose an application to the local students dispatch department or the Chinese embassy (consulate) in local country within the prescribed time. After getting the qualification of applying the CSC scholarship,please log on to online platform for registration, fill out the application information, and print the application form together with the other materials according to the Chinese China Scholarship Council application requirements. At last applicants should send two copies of those documents to send the relateddispatch department.

2. What is the online registration system?What is accepting institute code?

The website of studying abroad in China online registration systemis http://laihua.csc.edu.cn. You can get the accepting institution code from the local students dispatch department or the Chinese embassy (consulate) inlocal country.

3. What is students dispatch department (Institution)?

Students dispatch department (Institution) is responsible for dealing international students application. It can be the local government education departments, institutions or the Chinese embassy in local country,China's relevant colleges and universities, some research institutions, etc. For，specific information，please consult the project manager of China national study abroad fund management committee.

4. Can I directly apply CSC scholarship tothe CSC?

China Scholarship Council doesn't accept personal application,please do not send the application materials directly to China Scholarship Council. Applicants should propose an application to the local students dispatch department、 the Chinese embassy (consulate) or China colleges and universities undertake independent recruitment of students within the prescribed time.

5.Can I send electronic versions of the application materials to the China Scholarship Council?

Electronic versions of the application materials are not eligible materials to apply the CSC scholarship. Please log on to online platform forregistration, fill out the application information, and print the application form together with the other materials according to the Chinese ChinaScholarship Council application requirements. At last, applicants should send two copies of those documents to send the related dispatch department.

6. When is the deadline for application?

Application is commonly from the beginning of January to the beginning of April.  For the specific application time, please consult the local students dispatch department(Institution) or China colleges and universities undertake independent recruitment of students.

7. I'm under the age of 18 years. Can Iapply for the Chinese government scholarship?

Yes. Foreign students under the age of 18 years, they are required to be accompanied by a guardian in China when studying. Guardians generally shall be Chinese citizens registered in the city of the applied colleges and universities. For specific information, please consult international student office or the local public security bureau of exit and entry administration.

8. I cannot speak Chinese. Can I eligibleto apply CSC Scholarship?

Yes. As to scholarship students without basic Chinese, they are required to have 1 to 2 years for the Chinese tutorial before starting the professional study. While, students who apply English-taught master and doctor degree courses are not required to study.

Scholarship students who applied bachelor degree are required tostudy Chinese-taught courses. Students without basic Chinese are required to have 1 year or more preparatory study in preparatory education college specified by CSC.  

9. What kind of hospitals should I do physical (medical) examination? Is general hospitals ok? Do students in China now still need to do physical examination?

Physical examination should be done in normal hospital by the doctorof corresponding qualifications. For specific information, please consult the students dispatch institution. If the applicant is in China and holds a valid visa, he doesn't need medical examination.

10.For autonomous enrolment project, can Iapply for more than one universities?

The applicant can only get one Chinese government scholarship status of one university. If the applicant applies multiple universities and accepted by two or more universities, CSC has the right to decide the final universities of the applicant.

11. Can I directly apply to Chinese universities for Chinese government scholarship?

China Ministry of Education will distribute part of the Chinesegovernment scholarship status to some universities and education administrativedepartments of some provinces, autonomous regions. Those institutions have right of autonomous enrolment of CSC scholarship students. Autonomous enrolment programs are:

College graduate programs

Support local scholarship programs

Applicants should propose an application to the universities with autonomous enrolment programs within the prescribed time. After getting the qualification of applying the CSC scholarship, please log on to online platform for registration, fill out the application information, and print the application form together with the other materials according to the Chinese China Scholarship Council application requirements. At last, applicants should send two copies of those documents to the related universities. Applicants can find contact information on the website of CSC and consult the registration and application in February each year.

Maybe the browser does not match. It is recommended to use IE browser as other browsers may fail to open the web page.
